Domburg
Located around 10km north of Middelburg, Domburg is one of the finest and oldest
seaside resorts in The Netherlands. It has inspired artists for many years; so I
like to think that by taking photographs there I am in good company!
The beach is of course the main attraction, however, the town itself is a really
pleasant place to visit, especially on summer nights where it has a fantastic ‘vibe’,
with busy cafes and shops that usually stay open well into the night. In addition,
Domburg has a golf course that is over 100 years old, and is the only links course
in The Netherlands.

Domburg, a viewed from ‘Hoge Hil’, which translates as ‘high hill’, dispelling the
myth that The Netherlands doesn’t have hills! However, it is probably no more than
ten meters above sea level, so although that may well qualify as a high hill there,
in England, that would be seen as a minor bump. In saying that, it does give a really
good view of the town.
