Long-tailed-Tits

A rather distinctive looking bird; the tail constitutes around half the entire length of the bird. I was very fortunate to get these photographs over one day, so there aren’t that many of them. I would normally prefer to have more than this, but this is quite a special bird so deserves to be included in the album. I hope to get more photos of this bird in the future.

The photos here were all taken through a window, with the bird only around one meter away, so for once I didn’t need to use the huge 400mm lens for bird photography; in fact, it was so close, I was using a macro lens, which can focus much closer than normal lenses.

Note that the tail is around half the whole total length of the bird, which justifies the name.
